Mark Bishop Releases First Single From New CD, "The Fileds of Love".
Southern Gospel music fans should keep there ears open for the brand new single from Mark Bishop, “He Never Sleeps”. This is the first single from Mark Bishop’s new CD entitled, “The Fields of Love”.
“The Fields of Love” is a unique album. It is a concept album. Every song works together to tell a story yet each song can also stand alone. “It’s a story of a farmer and his family, his wife and son. It’s about a family that had faith, lost faith and their journey back to finding faith.” explains Mark. Its been called a “Musical journey of faith in the heartland”.
Mark Bishop has long been one of the great “story tellers” in all of Gospel music. Story songs such as ‘I Got Here As Fast As I Could”, “Perfectly Honest” and “Son of a Carpenter” have become Southern Gospel classics. Each of these songs tells a complete story and each has made a tremendous impact on Southern Gospel music fans throughout the country.
Mark’s desire to tell a complete story, something that the four minute time constraints of a single, lead him to write “The Fields of Love”. “I had always wondered what it would be like to write a longer story and use the entire album – not just a song – to tell a greater story with each song being a kind of chapter contributing to the larger story.”, explains Mark.
“He Never Sleeps” is impacting Southern Gospel radio stations throughout the country. You can find out more about Mark Bishop and “The Fields of Love” at www.southern-gospel-music-lyrics.com.

“ Matt McFarland wrote this song”, states Crossway’s Paul Smith, “And I love this song. It talks about a verse in the Bible where it says how God will forgive us 70x7 times. It’s not really meaning a number. It’s just one of those things that means an infinite number - God will forgive us an infinite number of times. Like God, we should be doing the same. We should forgive people no matter what they do.“Matt will tell you he has trouble forgiving people sometimes so I think that’s why he wrote this song.” Paul smiles and laughs, “He probably wrote it for himself”.
