In 1983 Ivan Parker joined The Gold City Quartet as their lead vocalist. During his years with Gold City the group recieved many awards including seven Faorite Group Awards and 19 Top Ten Hits. They also received a Dove award for the 1993 classic, "There Rose A Lamb".During his years with Gold City, Ivan recorded what may be one of Southern Gospel's most powerful songs, "Midnight Cry". He was voted Faorite Male Vocalist several years in a row.
 Ivan Parker joined the Gaither Trio in 1996, with Southern Gospel icons Bill and Gloria Gaither. In 1999, he joined up with Kirk Talley and Anthony Burger to form The Trio.
